Helene Mössl – lab technician

I joined the team as a lab technician right after obtaining a Master’s degree in comparative medicine at the University of Veterinary Medicine Vienna. Next to my work in the lab I am pursuing a second degree in veterinary medicine. When it comes to my hobbies, I find a lot of joy in dancing, being active and enjoying good music. I am happy to be part of this group and contribute to the exploration of stromal cells!

Yakup Berkay Yilmaz – PhD student

I’m originally from Turkey. With prior background in biochemistry and inflammatory pathways, I have ventured into studying the complex nature of immunology as a PhD student. In my project I am exploring the role of stromal cells in the regulation of B-cell immunity. In my spare time, I find joy in reading comics and playing video games, which offers a delightful escape from research from time to time 😉

Daliborka Draganic – lab technician

I started my career in Belgrade, where I completed my degree in biology and became part of Serbia’s national team for corneal explantation and transplantation. After defending my master’s thesis, life took me, together with my husband, to Austria, where I am now embarking on a new professional chapter with this team. I am excited to combine my knowledge of biology and medicine to contribute to the research of stromal cells in such an inspiring environment.

Outside the lab, I find my greatest freedom on the water – with my skipper’s license in hand, every breeze is an opportunity to set sail and venture into the unknown!

Cornelia Belyus – Master’s student

I am currently pursuing my Master’s degree in Comparative Biomedicine. I am excited to contribute to the exploration of stromal cells as part of this encouraging team, while taking my first steps in scientific research. In my free time, I enjoy playing cards, creating story-based games, and being active, which energises me for each new day in the lab.
